How it trades
BH Phoenix RE is the original Phoenix strategy, re-engineered: a trend-continuation EA for gold that acts only when several signals agree.
- Trades only when several independent signals line up.
- Signals on closed bars only, so no entries mid-bar.
- Position size from the Setting's risk and the real stop distance; Setting 5 uses fixed lots.
- Flat before the weekend, with a time limit on each trade and a spread cap.
- A daily loss stop and a drawdown pause, both of which you can adjust.
- Five built-in settings, with examples from prop challenges to small accounts.
Phoenix RE wins only about 16% of its trades and relies on its larger winners, so long losing runs are normal: the longest in the full test was 25 in a row. Trades last about 3 h 29 min on average.

Every figure here comes from the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester on IC Markets XAUUSD data. Back-tests are hypothetical: they don't include every real-world cost, such as slippage, swap changes or your own broker's spread, and they don't guarantee future results.

You still need to manage it
An EA is a tool, not a hands-off income. Check it every day, choose the Setting and loss limits to suit your account and your prop firm's rules, watch for broker, VPS or connection problems, and pause it around events you're unsure of.
